Hello folks,my
Is there a way to block all incoming connections to my TCP 139 from other
stations in my LAN?? i wish to block this port without the need of
installing a firewall or any other software, i wish to block this through
Win2000 Sp4....is there a way to do this??? maybe through registry?? any
advice or orientations will be appreciated.
A while ago when I first installed 2k on this machine, I was able to close
unneeded ports like 139, 445 etc., and things like reducing the number of
instances of svchost.exe by turning off unneeded services and tweaking the
registry. I don't remember what I did, but it'll be too long and
complicated to post here anyway. I got all the information I needed from
google.
