Another approach would be to find someone that has the Microsoft CD for IE6 SP1
and borrow it. This CD is still available from Microsoft, but only for delivery
in the U.S. and Canada.
FWIW, here's the link to order the CD:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ie6/ordercd/default.mspx
As an alternative, you may want to consider installing an earlier version of the
Acrobat Reader. I found the system requirements for the standard edition of
version 6.0 specifies Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.01 or higher, so I assume
that applies to the reader also.
You can download version 6.0 or 6.01 from this site:

Good Luck!

Thanks for your replies.at
I have ver 5.0. Isn't it possible to download only the upgrade. ver 6 is
76.7 MB and very big for my slow Internet connection.

Note: DO NOT download v7.0 for your Win2K system since it's not compatible.

REcently I reinstalled windows2000 in my laptop which is old and cant bear
windows XP. IE version is 5.0 for this OS. Now I have problem installing
Adobe Acrobat Reader and my modem and it requires me to upgrade my IE to
IEleast 5.5.
(Although I cant understand the relation between Adobe Acrobat Reader and
Modem installation and version of IE).
I searched Internet but I couldnt find any solution on how to upgrade my
stuff5.0.
Another problem is that, same problem arises for installing my modem so I
can not connect my laptop to Internet. I have to download the requred
in other computer and copy them to my laptop. Is there any solution to
install Acrobat Reader to my old laptop?
