Re: Lexar Pin Drive (Dave Patrick if possible)

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Thanks again,
(no need for reply)
I feel like the folks who posted to the link below. I mostly like to
post on top, but I do understand the folks that lurk threads for the
entire story. Bottom posting is for everyone's benefit on occasional
reading, it seems and top posting is on more of a one on one basis.
I believe both protocols will continue and all be well (as we make
it)

For those who wonder about the resolution of the Pin Drive problem.
I contacted Lexar Support
They answered in a flash
Speaks highly of LEXAR

I won't post the complete procedures I went through, but here's the
short version.
First I used Disc Manager to remove the active partition.
Added a new primary partition and formatted to FAT32.
That cleared any code corruption, I guess.
Still had an issue, so after that.
Second d/l Mike Linn's StartupCPL
Unchecked everything and booted, and did not get an error.
Then I added checks one at a time until I had a problem.
Removed Sis KHooker.exe which this sight said was unnecessary

I did that by changing the extension to .old in case it created a
problem, but it did not.
Clean up a few other things and tried the pin drive again.
Viola, NO error 17

End of story...
good computing,
dcdon
