Interrupt problems are very rare these days. It is more likely
that one of your adapters or one of your drivers is causing
this problem. Remove all non-essential adapters and reboot
the machine in Safe Mode to see if the problem persistes.

Thank you Pegasus. Now that I can read the screen, I find that interrupt11
is servicing 4 different devices: network controller(which is alsoserviced
by interrupt 10), SimpleCom. Controller, Serial Bus Controller and Displayon
Controller. Could this cause the computer to freeze up soon after boot?

Hope that someone more knowledgeable than I am can answer this for me.
Thanks.

Hi everyone!
I am running W2K professional on a desktop and the computer freezes up
someme
frequently, but not every time soon after I booted up. I suspected
startsIRQ
problems but do not know how to check this. Also, as the computer
thinkup,
the initial screen stays there only a second and I cannot read it fast
enough. Is there a key I can push to stop the screen temporarily? I
there is but I forgot what it is.

You can press the Pause key on your keyboard to freeze the display.
