Problem: Cannot find 'file:///C:/Program%20Files/Ashampoo... ' Make sure the path or Internet address is correct.

Greetings.
I just installed Windoze 2K with SP4 & "roll-up" on my spiffy new
computer. In preparation for installing my application software, I
first installed my uninstaller (Ashampoo Uninstaller Platinum,
http://tinyurl.com/2hoppr). Attempting to actually use any of its
features results in the error message partially shown in the subject
heading. I suspect -- perhaps incorrectly? -- that the problem does
not lie with the Ashampoo utility (although it is clearly going about
its business in an circuitous fashion), but with my setup/installation
of Win2K. I should be exceedingly grateful for any explicit advice on
how to correct this difficulty. Expedient explicit advice would be
even better, as the inability to install the uninstaller means that
nothing else can (dare) be installed either. (Upon reflection, I think
my error was not in being one of the last people to have switched from
DOS to Windoze, but in having switched at all. ;-)
Thanks in advance for any help!
Cordially,
Richard Kanarek
Bemused to observe that Windoze 2K takes more time to shuts down on a
3.2Ghz computer than CP/M-86 took to boot-up on a 8Mhz Turbo XT.
