When you view the logged events in Event Viewer (double-click them in the right-hand pane) in the upper right corner, third button down is a copy to clipboard, then you can paste in the body of a reply message.
Please do so for each of the different System Log events (that are a Type: 'Error' or 'Warning') since last boot so we can see all of the event detail.
Also check Device Manager for error codes and or non-starting devices.

This problem started a few weeks back and do nto know the root cause
Laptop, win200, for network is using DHCP for tcp/ip, thus gets all that
from the router.
Random basis events log shows services control manager reporting :
Timeout (30000 milliseconds) waiting for a transaction response from the
Dnscache service.
When this happens services.exe is sucking up 100% cpu and network interface
drops.
Something turned on in this laptop ? something on router side doing it ?
Why is services.exe cranking away for like 5 olus minutes ?
Being it gets DNS from the router its plugged into what is causing this
problem which can happen multi times a day
Thanks
