Re: Unwanted Hex directory - can I delete?

Looks like possibly a temp directory created by windows update. Yes, delete it or rename and delete next week.

I posted "Odd boot failure" in this newsgroup, 12/21/2006, that seems was
too much a challenge for any response. Today I had to perform another
restore, the same way, for the same reasons. (That's just for background)

Today's restore gave me back my system but left me with an 88MB directory
tree attached to my C:/ boot drive. I call it a 'Hex' directory because its
long name appears like one: "fff231db843425ad12 (and on and on it goes)"

Can I safely delete this folder? (optional: why do you suppose it was
created?) Thanks -
