Sorry to jump in on a thread, but a related question arises:
If you've got a machine with SATA drives and the driver installed OK and you
need to do a repair install of Windows on this machine, do you need to do
the F6 thing with the SATA driver disk again or will it carry through the
reinstall intact?

Assuming you mean the controller driver. Why does it need reinstalled and
what drive controller are you using?
