Sounds very strange indeed. I've never heard of these four "repair" disks.
The four floppy disks (setup disks) are normally used on systems that cannot
bootup from a CD-ROM drive. At the end of the fourth disk's install it will
prompt the user to install the Windows CD in the CD-ROM drive. It does not ask
for any repair disks to bootup from again nor does it try to detect any repair
disks.
If you're trying to utilize the Recovery Console, see this article for complete
details:

| I have created a set of Windows 2000 repair boot disks. I have corrupted
| Windows 2000 system files so I am trying to use the repair boot disks. I did
| the following:
|
| 1) booted up from emergency repair boot disk #1 (then inserted disks 2-4).
| 2) gone through the menus for repair options for 'manual' repair
|
| When it comes to the repair asking me to insert boot disk in drive A:, I did
| and hit ENTER. But when I did this, it does NOT detected any of the
| emergency repair boot disks.
|
| Please, I need help ASAP!!!
