Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

So in msconfig you disabled all none MS processess and there was no
improvement
Any better in safe mode?
If no to both then, as you seem to have reinstalled win, then its hardware.
Which could be disk mode.

You would be better off with 512mb memory
Tried running with startup apps stopped? in particular any AV software.
(you
might want to disconect from internet whilst doing this)
You can download msconfig, an MS app supplied with winxp, from here
http://www.perfectdrivers.com/howto/msconfig.html
in order force the closure of start up apps on reboot (In the tab
disable
all none MS then test)
PS AVG and Symantec doent neccessarily find malaware use both Adaware
and
Spybot at least, for this.

been there, done that (Msconfig) Have spybot, Adaware and run daily
