"Resources" function in Outlook 2003

It appears as though you can label attendees as "resource" (say for rooms or
equipment). I am able to set this tag to someone but not sure how to let
them know without a separate email that they are in charge of making sure a
projector or presentation gets to this meeting. Any thoughts? Or is this
function only a tag on initiator's end?
