Re: View Thumbnails

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Dear Steve,
Thank you for your reply.

I'm not quite sure that the problem I have is that adressed by the article
you have pointed me towards.

The Article identifies the symptoms as follows:
****************
SYMPTOMS
When you click an image icon in Windows Explorer, the picture preview may
not be displayed in the left pane.
*************************
This doesn't seem to adress my problem i.e. the thumbnails in the RIGHT hand
panel of explorer don't display correctly [they display as boxes with an
icon in them instead of a thumbnail.

I'm using Classic Windows - and expect the files to show as Thumnails in the
right hand window on a single click I expect nothing, on a double click I
expect the asigned app (Psp Pro in my case) to display the image. I don't
want a preview in the left panel as the artice suggests.

[You will understand that I'm not keen on editing my registry if I'm not
sure that what I'm atempting to do is what I want!]

[details, icons etc are fine]

Any ideas ?

In Explorer goto

View
Thumbnails

If it's selected and still not working then look here

and merge the attached file into your registry (save it and double click
on it)
