Try this.
Go into Control Panel
Select Add/Remove Hardware Device
Select Uninstall a Device
Search for the MiniDV Device. If it doesn't show up, go ahead and
Select "Show hidden devices"
Search for the MiniDV again. If it is there, uninstall it. Make sure there
isn't more than one instance of it in there.
Pick up with Step 8. See if that works for you.
