If you can boot into Safe Mode then your problem is caused by
something that only loads in normal mode. Unplug all your non-essential
adapters (network, sound, modem) and see if this solves the problem.
Run msconfig.exe and disable the startup tasks one by one (or two by
two!) until you find the culprit.
