Accessing files in windows 2000

I have a user who has an IBM Thinkpad with Windows XP Pro. This user uses
the laptop when she's in the corporate office or at home. She is also at an
external location where she has her own office with a workstation running
Windows 2000 pro. She uses VPN to connect to our network.

The problem she's having is that for some type of reason she cannot access
any recent files on her Win2K workstation. She has a good connection to the
network (she can access old files and the company e-mail) and she claims she
is saving her work on the network and not on the local hard drive. She say's
that any work she saves on her laptop with WinXPPro does not show up on her
Win2K workstation. Can it be because they are 2 different O/S versions? If
so, is there any way around it?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated...thanks.
