win200 logon from NTSF patition

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Hi!

I have two partitions on my computer one is FAT32 (c) for win98 and
NTSF(D) for win2000. Recently my win98 o/s files got corrupted and I
reinstalled my win98 after formatinng C drive. After reinstalling
win98 the boot.ini file is lost and I could not see my D drive from C
partition.(as win98 can not see NTSF prtition), I tried to restore
boot.ini file by using the win2000 repair disks(four disks). The set
up process took me to win receovery console. It is character based(I am
not sure whether I installed GUI recovery console as I won?t see
any).Fron the command prompt I went to D drive and used the command
LOGN myusername/passwiord.
Then try to copy D: drive files to C: drive then the messge access
denied came. Also all the file sizes coming empty.I used chkdsk
command but the drive is showing summary of file sizes. Can some one
help me how to copy these files to C drive and How to restore win2000
without loosing the existing files.Reinstalling win2000 formats teh
disk d: and I llose teh data on D: drive

thanks
