Enabling Hidden file option

I have windows 2000 pro

I can not see the the option buttion in (Mycomputer-tools-folderoption )

for the past one month i can view that but now there is no option for
enabling option for view my hidden files

I want to know wheather it is virus problem or software problem

i want to know how i can enable the view hidden(show allfiles) files option
