virus?

AOk i have trend microscan virus protection. That does not pick up any
viruses on my computer but i have been testing out different ones and as far
as i knew trend is one of the best . but anyway so i found avast free home
edition downloaded it updated it and the avast free home edition pickup a
virus but my "supposed to be one of the best virus scanners" did not and will
not pick it up. What do you think i should do?
