Issue with multiple hardware profiles
Hi all,
I have a Dell Latitude C400 laptop with Windows 2000 as the OS.
When I start up and logon with the LAN cable attached, my login is
completed in about 30 seconds, and there are no issues accessing
network files, etc.
Occasionally, I need to take the laptop home. When the LAN cable is not
attached, logging on to Windows can take up to 25-30 mins, before the
desktop will appear.
After searching for sometime, I found an article that suggested
disabling the LAN card, which I did, but this has not made any
difference to the problem.
Can someone suggest how to modify the "Offsite" hardware profile, so
that login is cut down to a more reasonable time ?
Many thanks
GW
