offline files over vpn

Hello,

some remote users work via vpn through their broadband connection, when
synchronising large file (15mb and above) it seems to time out and fail, the
offline files icon on the taskbar then has a flashing yellow ! and says that
it needs to synchronise, is there any way to increase this timeout value?
