Hi:

We have migrated from a NT 4.0 domain to a Win 2000 server domain. The logon
banner on the nt domain worked for all machines, using SPE, (95/98 from the
95 admin tools cd) and (NT/2000/Xp) from the NT cd.

However, now with the win 2000 domain, the 2000/XP machines do not apply the
same as the NT machines (from netlogon share). Have tried changing from the
GPE, using the "message title/text". From a reg search i find the existing
text under "LegalNoticeCaption/Text"

1. Is there a way which all (NT/2000/XP) can get changed from one location,
like the nt 4 domain?

2. Can i overide the GPE for the 2000 domain having just the client source
the pol from the netlogon share?

3. Why are there so many terms/names for the same feature?
