Did you find a solution for that problem? I have a similar problem.
The Add Remove Program won't open (with MSHTA in the task manager
appearing), NTBackup won't start (NTBACKUP.EXE appears in the task
manager), Internet Explorer 6 opens but freeze whne it tries to render
a page and Network connections won't open.
