Hi all,
The scenario,.
We have a PC with windows 2000 installed and a PC with Windows 98se
installed (this has been reformatted and a fresh install of windows 98
done).
We have networked the two PCs via a LAN.
The Printer is installed on the W98se PC and we can print from the Windows
2000 machine ok. (or at least I was told so, when I was away from this PC!).
The problem:
In Network Neighbourhood on the W98se machine, we can see the W2000 machine,
but it asks for a password when we try to access the 2000 PC.
I think the same is happening in reverse as well.
The Windows 2000 machine does not need a password on boot up.
I understand that Windows 2000 works on a simple network like this without
using third party software, but I am a novice where windows 2000 goes.
Can any please point me in the right direct so I can solve this network log
in problem?
Thank you
Barry
