The usual error is to fail a write. I have tried Dells diagnostic tool and
it works for short runs upto 7000 32K blocks, after that it will fail the
test inconsistantly. I might get 5 at 10,000 blocks and then fail the next.
I just do not trust unit. I have tried to back up a 4gig sql backup to the
unit and it nearly always fails. I have another Dell server with an internal
4mm tape and it has never failed backing up my web server.
we would spend around a $1000 on a unit.
