In your .pdf users manual, on the Forth and seventh page it says that NT4
does not support usb connectivity and W2K is newer than NT4 so I can guess
that your original install disk will not have drivers that work anyway. It
says on the seventh page "Genius ColorPage-HR6 USB scanner can only operate
under the Microsoft Windows 98 operating
system.

Something using the other port is "your scanner" as hardware without the
drivers.
STOP MESSING WITH THE REGISTRY PLEASE!!! When you get it right it will be
cool. I can tell you are really trying hard and learning. It will be fine,
don't worry. You seem persistant and that's what it takes to learn on your
own so do this...Find drivers that work with W2K and not 98, start with the
KYE Systems/GENIUS support site. It is good, it is here for you...

try google of course and go here too...

Dig into your install disk, open not autorun and look through it, double
check for any drivers just to see for yourself. Find the .pdf manual while
you are at it OR GO HERE...
