Hello, I've been handed a problem and I'm not sure how to go about fixing
it. A friend's computer suddenly stopped booting up. She received a message
stating that the "shell32.dll file was missing or corrupt". Now I found a
site that has downloads of dll files and they have the one that she is
having a problem with. My questions: will the computer start working if I
save the file to floppy, boot with a win98 disk, copy the file to her
winnt/system32 folder? She is running win2000, can I boot with the win98
disk and copy the file from the win2000 cd to her winnt/system32 folder? Can
I boot from the win2000 cd and select repair and have it fill in what is
missing?
Thanks
Kevin
