Hello all,

I noticed that windows explorer shows 2 different types of behaviour
if you doubleclick a folder on the details-view. In both cases, the
tree on the left pane of the window is expanded, but the expanding can
be partial - showing only the folder just double-clicked or fully,
showing all folders on the level of the double-clicked folder.
I noticed, that the first behaviour (partial expanding) occurs only
before the entire list of folders has been viewed once (e.g. by
clicking '+'). After the entire list has been viewed, there's no way
to get back to the partial expanding, but WinEx always expands the
complete level of the tree.

I was wondering whether I could influence this behaviour. In my case,
I have more than a hundred data-directories beneath a directory I
frequently work with. If the tree expands fully, I can't see very
much. But using the partial expanding, it would be very easy to work
with...

Any hints?

Your advice greatly appreciated!
Regards,
Carsten.
