Right, a shortcut is a one kind of link. (The extension, which is
normally hidden, is actually ".lnk".) For reasons unknown, at least to
me, the compatibility tab shows up only in the properties of a shortcut to
a batch file.
THe filesystem type doesn't have any effect on this.
