Ok, point me in another direction if I'm posting in the wrong NG.
"Almost" the weirdest thing I've ever ran into. IIS 5.0 with FTP running.
Fire up the trusty IE client and connected to my srv. But when logging in I
put my credentials in it appends the last 5 characters of my PW to the URL
(ftp://5char192.168.1.1). I'm really into security so my admin password
contains 22 characters. So I created test account with a pw of 9
characters....Viola ??? I've thoroughly searched Google and many forums.
If I recall correctly windows 2K and XP passwords can be up to 127
characters not the 14 like the good ole days of NT. But that really
wouldn't matter because 22-5=well you can see that doesn't equal 14.
Everything works and all I just don't like to use a 9 char PW.
Any ideas...anything, anything....
