I have a Sony PCG-FX103 laptop which has developed a strange keyboard problem.
It is running Windows 2000 and nothing I've tried seems to help.
The keys seem to be mis-typing.
Instead of getting 1234567890-= I get 123456789/-=
Instead of getting qwertyuiop[] I get qwerty456*] (the [ button actually seems to act like 'return' and starts a new line)
Instead of getting asdfghjkl;' I get asdfgh123-'#
Instead of getting zxcvbnm,./ I get zxcvbn0,.+
I have tried experimenting with the Fn button and it does seem to have some effect, but some of the keys don't produce a character when I type.
With the Fn button held down here's what I get:
Top row:
nothing comes up from 1 to 5, then I get: 67890-= (which are the right characters.
Next row:
qwrtyuiop[] (I get all the right characters except e doesn't produce anything)
Next Row:
aghjkl;'# (I don't get anything for the buttons s,d or f)
Bottom row:
This row seems to work OK with the Fn button pressed.
Please can anybody help?
