1. Try registering the component:
a. Start --> CMD --> <OK>
b. At the command prompt: C:\>regsvr32 appwiz.cpl
If this doesn't work...
2. Start --> Run... --> SFC /SCANNOW
If this doesn't work...
3. Reinstall the OS.
