I was messing around with secure certificates, finding some expired ones, so I deleted them. some were from unknown companies and those were deleted also. now my Windows 2000 Pro version I bought in 2001 asks for the install CD so it can replace needed files

ok I put the cd in there. it says no, put the CD in there that has win2000. retry, no. look put the CD in there now, windows needs it, come on, this isnt funny! retry.... and on it goes.

I try windows update and it fails right away here is the text: You may have clicked No when prompted to accept the Trust Certificate. To allow the Windows Update site software to install, click Yes when presented with the Security Warning dialog box.
but it doesnt ask.

so what to do when it wants the certificate stuff, then says the cd that it installed by isnt what it wants?? its the original cd, scratched up, etc. but its the one. I want to at least make windows update work again. thanks
