Logical Disk Manager problem

I am having an issue with starting the diskmgmt.msc snapin. It is unable to
attach to the Logical Disk Manager. Looking through the installed services,
it appears that the Logical Disk Administrative Service (dmadmin.exe) is not
installed (or at least, not registered). The executable exists in the
system32 directory - information on how it can be reinstalled as a service
would be appreciated.

TIA

Mark
