The best way to do this is to make sure that the laptop uses DHCP. as long
as it uses DHCP, it should be fine. An alternative if DHCP is not available
is to use Windows XP Pro. XP allows you to have primary and alternate
network settings depending on your location. Stick with Pro if you need to
log on to a domain.
