Hi,

I've had a problem in Win2000 Pro for a while now - it's only a minor niggle
but I'd like to get it sorted if anyone knows what the cause/solution is.

When I try to drag Start menu items to a different location on the menu, I
get the heavy black bar that indicates the current proposed new position of
the item like normal, but when I release the mouse button the Start menu
just hides and when I open it again the item hasn't been moved.

I'm logged on as a user with admin rights, I don't use any gui-tweaking
software and can't think of anything that changed on my system/network
around the time this started.

It's driving me nuts - I hate having a start menu that takes up half my
screen but it's really not a big enough problem to warrant a reinstall (know
what I mean?)...

TIA for any assistance,

Natalie
