CRC errors indicate bad media or something wrong with the drive or it's
connections to the host bus, like a bad or loose cable. If other CDs
read ok then it's the disc with the problem. Does the CD work in other
systems?

Be aware that removing the worm without first patching the vulnerability
does no good; it will get re-infected almost immediately if on the `net
and not firewalled.
