Hi,
I've got a very strange problem. When I try to login onto my computer
with a my domain account I've got an error message that the explorer
shuts down. after that I can't do anything on the desktop. When I log in
with a local account all is working well. Also when I log in with a
other domain accounts. This issue began after i'd installed a MS SQL
Server 2k on my computer.
I was the opinion that the installation might had overriden some files.
so i formatted my computer and reinstalled my software in this order:
1 Win2k
2 SQL 2k
3 SQL 2k SP 3a
4 Win2k SP 4
5 VS.NET 2003 whith all depending stuff.

No third party stuff!!!

After that I added my computer to the domain again and the same issue
again. I removed the computer from the domain, I deleted and recreated
my domain login but that haven't got any effect. After some experiments
I found out that the error occurs after IE 6 was installed. The very
strange thing about that is that I had been already working with VS.NET
2003 and IE6SP1 for nearly a half year. And the second strange thing is
that it only happens my this special account. All others seems to work
propertly.

When I'm looking in the event viewer i always finding the entry with the
ID 1002 Explorer.exe was shut down unexpecetly.

I'm trying to fix this problem for over a week now and it's driving my nut!

Does anyone have expierence with that problem or an idea what could be
the cause?

Thanks in Advance

Markus
