Upgrade problem

when i upgraded my motherboard and processor and booted
from my hard drive i received an error. It was in the
middle of the boot up and it was a blue screen error that
said it was "incaccessible_boot_device". it then
recommended that i check for viruses and run chkdsk /f.
I'm not sure how to handle the problem

    ... I checked for Spyware & Viruses, compressed old data and defragged ... Then i ordered a chkdsk. ... The usual note came up saying it will start ... Is there a registrykey or an option anywhere to disable it when i boot? ...
