Thanks for the information. agree that Win 2000 is a very stable OS. I have
hardware and software the I can't afford to replace. My CD/RW is the main
reason. I can't
update my ECDC Software because it came with the burner I bought and which
was a previously owned burner. I use the burner for my photo's .

The way to "uninstall" Windows 2000 is to reformat the harddrive. Put the
Windows 2000 CD-ROM in the hardrive and choose to install anew Windows 2000
on the hardrive where the system exists that you want to remove. Make sure
you choose to reformat the drive. After the reformat is finished take the
CD-ROM out of the drive. Wondors of wonders the op sys is now
"uninstalled."
