Files? being automatically deleted

I generally keep my trash bin cleared of files I have deleted. I recently noticed that files have been automatically deleted, the number listed in the Norton Protected trash bin totals 1002 files. One of the files deleted is DirectCD Drive(E) originally located in C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Sendto. I did not delete any of these files and it appears that several are being deleted each day. This started about 5 days ago. I have Norton AntiVirus and update every other day. I run a virus scan at least 5 times per week. Does anyone know what is happening?
