Hi

This is how I would have done it:

Create a new local user. Add it to the local "Administrators" group.
Log in with the new user once to see that everything is OK.

You can then reuse the old profile with the "new" user by changing the
new user's ProfileImagePath in registry to point to the old profile.

This way, the domain user and the local user is sharing the same profile.

Just as long as you have created the local user (or you know the
password for the local "Administrator" user), you can unjoin
from the domain at any point in the procedure above.
