file moved itself

5 days ago, I was reported that one of user's private folder located on one of our server, the file moved itself. the user moved the files from A folder to B folder, the file moved, double check one hour later, the files still in B folder, but the next day, all moved file came back to A folder. I tried myself, if this user's computer keeps on all the time, the file stays in B folder no problem, if the computer restart, the files moves back to A folder.

About a year ago, I got the same report from aother user. at that time, I just creat a new folder, move all the file to the new, the problem fixed. This time, I perfer someone can help me tell me the reason and how to fix this problem
