Any machine infected by viruses must be considered
compromised. Virus "cleaning" programs can do only
so and so much. If it was my machine then I would
do a clean installation. I would also install a good virus
scanner, keep it up-to-date, and install a firewall. My
preference is Trend Internet Security.
