You will have to instruct your router to forward VPN packets
to the correct internal address. Here are some notes on the
subject that I picked up a little while ago. I have not tried
them myself.
"If you are using PPTP then TCP Port 1723 and IP Protocol ID 47 (GRE -
Generic Routing Encapsulation) should be allowed to pass through the router.
If your machine is behind a firewall or running a personal firewall the
following need to be opened to the VPN server(s)
UDP port 500
IP Protocol 50
IP Protocol 51
UDP Port 4500
UDP Port 10000
TCP Port 10000
Mapping drives: Windows 2000 - port 445; Windows 9x - ports 137/139"
