A better way is to configure the platform fully, colours, desktop bitmap, email config,
start menu, *EVERYTHING*.
Then copy your profile (the profile you used that is fully configured) to the default
profile. When a new user is added to the platform the new user will inherit all settings
in the default profile. To perform this copy process, do the following...
Right Click on "My Computer" --> properties --> user profiles
Highlight the your profile (the fully setup and configured profile) the choose; "copy
to" --> Brose to the following folder "C:\Documents and Settings\Default User"
Then SysPrep the platform.
I do this with Symantec Ghost. After the platform is SysPrep'd I use Symantec Enterprise
Ghost and create an image of that platform on what I call the "cloning platform" or Ghost
server. Then if I get a new LAN user, I restore the image to the make and model platform
and when booted it runs the Mini Wizard and have a cloned PC setup newly for a new person
with all the defaults I require.

| I am trying to add some custom entries in the sysprep file.
| Please provide any links or comments. Thank you.
|
| 1)Edit the sysprep file so there will be a specific
| background (or wallpaper) I have selected when the image
| is restored for the new user or all users
|
| 2)Edit the sysprep file to set the home page for internet
| explorer for the new user or all users
|
| 3)Edit the sysprep file so the vpn connection has the
| proxy settings entered for the new user or all users
