I have HP Pavillion desktop PC, Windows 2000 Professional
OS..
Recently, it's taking lot of time to start the OS.. so I
disabled some services like Remote Registry Service,
Remote Procedure Call, Windows Installer etc.,(from
Control Panel --> Admin Tools) inorder to bootup my
machine fast. However, things went differently and seems
to be a disaster..
-- I could able to surf on Internet but unable to login
to hotmail / yahoo.
-- Add / Remove Programs page is blank
-- geting errors -- Failed to load Local language module
-- Could not copy/cut and paste a file.. all functions
disbaled.
So I thought, I should change back all the services which
I changed to 'disable status' back to normal, However, I
could not change it to 'Manual' or 'Automatic' as the
property window is not opening from Services.
When I tried to start some services, it's giving another
error 'Error 1068 The dependency service or group failed
to start'
Any help is appreciated for giving advice..at

Thanks
Prasad
