windows explorer

Gentleman & Ladies,
A problem has cropped up using windows explorer. I have set the desktop and
the explorer views to view web content. For some unknown reason windows
explorer will not display a thumbnail copy of a jpg file selected in the
right pane. Normally, before this condition occurred when a jpg or gif file
was selected in the right pane a thumb nail copy of this file would appear
between the center divider and the list of files or folders below text
describing the file. Now the ONLY image that displays is a PSPIMAGE file
native to Corel Paint Shop Pro ver 11. One might think that installing that
software caused it but not so I had this problem before installing that
software. Clicking the view option while in windows explorer there is a
wizard option called "customize this folder". In this wizard there are four
options with a sample view. The STANDARD option shows how explorer used to
display the thumbnail, the IMAGEVIEW option is similar but the view is
larger. Neither one of these options will work now.
Any Ideas?
