On start up I get a screen message to tell me that the file
Sytem32\Wintrust.dll is corrupt and that I should run CHKDSK. The messge is
associated with two of the Zone Alarm Firewall files zlclient.exe &
vsmon.exe. When this happens I am unable to connect online. It take three
or four runs of chkdsk to get things going but on restarting after a shutdown
the problem is back. The problem first occurred shortly after downloading
Microsoft security updates.
Is there any way of repairing the corrupt file or of downloading a clean
file to overwrite it ? What caused the problem in the first place ?
I also now get a Windows File Protection window opening telling me that
Windows will verify protected files. This runs but does no good,
