Hi

thanks for your input so far, i am howver 100% sure that
the EISA partition (which i am familiar with) is not the
cause of this problem.

i have several servers with these partitions, they are,
as you say, manufacurers partitions (compaq in this case)

it's okay where it is, and it is supposed to be there.

my problem is whith my 30gb partition which windows knows
is 30gb but has only mounted a 16gb partition to it.
