Looking at MS article 311398 article "HOW TO: Set Up File and Folder Replication for IIS 5.0 Using the Most Common Method in Windows 2000" it states that file and folder replication pre-requistites are:

1. An AD domain
2. A domain based DFS root

I want to make sure this stands TRUE for Windows 2003, as I heard that there was a possibility that STAND ALONE DFS would now support file replication, and does not require an Active Directory domain or a Domain based DFS root. In setting up a stand alone DFS share on a Windows 2003 server, this does not appear to be the case. Is this true and if so any documentaion you can point me to would be much appreciated.

Thanks!
